The first expansion pack of this year hasn’t been announced yet (though its name has been spotted), but already About.com has found what appears to be the trailer for the second – “The Sims 3 Unleashed”. It looks to be the long-awaited-by-some pets expansion, but adds more than just dogs and cats. There’s also fish, deer, skunks, and ridable horses, with all but the deer and skunks shown to have traits (presumably the deer and skunks are wild). The trailer doesn’t confirm for sure that it is an expansion pack, only specifying that it will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo 3DS and PC/Mac. It does specify that it will be available in October 2011. Unless it’s already been removed, you can watch the trailer here:

If EA are already preparing to announce this, it must be because it’s coming to the other platforms as well, because I don’t remember them ever announcing an expansion pack this early before – unless they’re just fed up of people asking when there’s going to be a pets expansion. They could have even leaked the trailer on purpose…
